Wikileaks Reveal Scope of Turkish Connection to IS and Media Crackdown

On Monday, Wikileaks released a batch of almost 58,000 emails sent and received by Turkish president Recep Erdogan’s son-in-law Berat Albayrak.

The release, termed by Wikileaks as ‘Berat’s box’ includes thousands of emails detailing Albayrak’s dealings as the Turkish Minister of Energy. The emails encompass a span of sixteen years beginning April of 2000 until September of this year. Wikileaks was given the database of emails by a Turkish Marxist-Leninist ‘hacktivist’ group known as RedHack.

RedHack had initially announced that they had obtained the emails in September but their social media accounts and pages containing news of the hack were taken down. Originally the group threatened to release the emails if the Erdogan government wouldn’t release Alp Altınörs, a member of the Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) and a journalist named Aslı Erdogan. Suspected members of RedHack have been threatened since September by the government and subjected to the ongoing post-coup torture.

Assange: Clinton Emails Prove Daesh Funded by Saudi, Qatari Governments

The US establishment and media are working together to stop US Republican nominee Donald Trump to become the next American president, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said in a special interview with John Pilger aired by RT.

In the second excerpt from the John Pilger Special, to be exclusively broadcast by RT on Saturday, Julian Assange accuses Hillary Clinton of misleading Americans about the true scope of Daesh’s support from Washington’s Middle East allies.

In a 2014 email made public by Assange’s WikiLeaks last month, Hillary Clinton, who had served as secretary of state until the year before, urges John Podesta, then an advisor to Barack Obama, to “bring pressure” on Qatar and Saudi Arabia, “which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to Daesh and other radical Sunni groups.”

Wikileaks and the Podesta Emails: Two Things

As final voting in the 2016 US presidential election approaches, questions continue to swirl around Wikileaks and its release of an email archive copied from the personal files of John Podesta, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair. It would be impossible, in the space of a single column, to fully consider the content and implications of those emails. There are, however, two relevant questions which those interested in the matter should carefully consider.

First, are the emails authentic and unaltered?

Clinton and her surrogates don’t want to answer that question. They stick to claiming that the mails haven’t been authenticated and hinting that they may have been altered.

The facts: Not all of the emails can be authenticated as to origin and content. But some can be, and some have been. As Bob Graham of Errata Security points out, many of the emails are digitally signed using the Domainkeys Identified Mail verification standard, which can be used to verify that email comes from the server it claims to come from and has not been modified since leaving that server. To date, no one has publicly demonstrated that the origin, or so much as a comma of the content, of any of the Podesta emails has been altered. So far as we can tell, they’re the genuine article.

It’s Rigged: Takes One to Know One

Increasing skepticism of the U.S. government can either lead to ugly conspiracy theorizing, or fuel a movement to bend the status quo.

The system is rigged.

Let’s be clear: the American political system favors the two major parties and our economic system favors the wealthy. The global system is similarly rigged in favor of powerful countries (such as the United States) and powerful economic actors (such as transnational corporations).

DNC Hacker Guccifer 2.0 Leaks Show Alcohol Lobby Pushed Against Cannabis

The cryptic hacker Guccifer 2.0 continues to pour forth a diverse stream of ever evolving democratic party leaks. After revealing the party’s favoring of Hillary Clinton, emails now disclose messages from the alcohol lobby. Give you one guess what about–opposition to cannabis reform.

Mary Jane’s medical and recreational success in Colorado has opened up the airwaves to all sorts of debate. Even those pushing to peel the plant’s schedule 1 status away were curious if it could integrate into society. Driving laws came into immediate question, and how to detect and handle stoned drivers.

Hacker Guccifer 2.0’s New Leaks Reveal An Anti-Sanders DNC, And More

Hacktivist Guccifer 2.0 strikes again, sending a steaming hot cache of DNC documents to WikiLeaks. While some documents indicate internal skepticism of the Iran agreements, others are more jarring. Leaks outline how DNC officials literally conspired against Senator Bernie Sanders’ run for president. These new leaks offer a panoramic view of the party’s augmentation of Clinton’s campaign, while exploiting the weakness of others.

At least some of the material to pertaining to the Iran agreements were sent to The Hill. The deal was mentioned in notes sent between DNC political consultancy partners discussing tactics. Certain politicians were described as “wobbly democrats” who wanted to “scratch this thing.” Other notes on immigration called the current congress “the most anti-immigration” by far.

Turkey Adds Wikileaks to a Long List of Blocked Websites

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan doesn’t mind sharing pictures from his daughter’s wedding or from his various visits and meetings with international leaders.

But he does seem to mind when his emails as well as thousands of other internal emails sent and received within the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) make it into public eye.

Shortly after Wikileaks released 294,548 such emails into the public, the site was blocked countrywide.

Hacker “Guccifer 2.0” Complicates The Offical Narrative Of The DNC Hack

Hillary Clinton

Recently, hackers breached the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) servers, making off with political opposition files. Although initial reports outed a collective of Russian hackers, a lone infiltrator now claims full responsibility. What the files reveal, as well as the drama surrounding their identities, offers an unusual view of modern digital espionage.

It began with the infiltration of the DNC’s servers by adept virtual spies, and the confidential files they downloaded. Hackers, noticed a month ago, first accessed DNC data for over a year. Their breach of communications was described as “unimpeded” by New York Times, requiring outside intervention. Cyber-security firm CrowdStrike, founded in 2011, was then recruited to expel and identify the hackers.

Wikileaks: Brazil’s New Unelected President a US Informant

A US State Department cable that Wikileaks published on 5 March 2011 and that concerns the newly appointed President of Brazil but that has nonetheless been ignored by Western ‘news’ media (such as The New York Times, Washington Post, Guardian, CNN, BBC, etc.), reported the latest inside information that the US government’s secret Brazilian agent in Sao Paulo had just supplied.

Since the agent, Michel Temer, is now Brazil’s appointed ‘interim’ leader, the context of that cable is important to understand – especially because the situation here is similar to other recent examples in which the US President has, essentially, selected the leader of a foreign government after a US-backed coup has occurred there:

After an American coup overthrowing the existing democratically elected President in Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk was the interim leader of Ukraine from 27 February 2014 till April 2016, chosen by the US President (via his agent Victoria Nuland); and after an American-backed domestic-aristocracy-perpetrated coup overthrowing the existing democratically elected President of Honduras, Roberto Micheletti was the interim leader of that country from 28 June 2009 to 27 January 2010, chosen by the US President (in conjunction with Honduras’s 12 aristocratic or «oligarchic» families). In both instances, only candidates who were acceptable to the US President were allowed to compete in the subsequent ‘election’, and massive propaganda was issued to the local public, with US government approval, for each of those candidates. That operation then produced the ‘non-interim’ regime, which still rules each of these now-dictatorships.
