WASHINGTON, DC (TFC) – The President kept his word and vetoed the controversial Keystone pipeline bill. Republican Mitch McConnell is prepared to go against voters and the President in an attempt to override the veto.
The veto override is unlikely, so the party that has reportedly been “bought and paid” for by the Koch brothers has promised to attach approval for the pipeline to a spending bill. The Republican push for the bill is designed to avoid the US State Department’s review of the matter to determine its value to American citizens. State Department officials are notoriously harder to pay off than Senators.
